I was thinking of Iron Maiden and reminded of a story from K's trip to the UN climate change conference in Copenhagen in December. Her biggest surprise of the whole trip was how much people were talking about adaptation to climate change--that it was inevitable and we (the people) wouldn't change our habits to ward it off, thus we'd just have to learn how to deal with it. (The conference participants from small island countries were not enthused)

This came as a shocker to we naive folks who are, in fact, trying to ward it off. And at some point in her telling me all this, I decided that the theme song of the Adaptationists should be "Run to the Hills" by Iron Maiden. How awesome would that be?
