black gold
There's a little cafe in the engineering library, which is right next to my building. Their coffee is not particularly memorable and occasionally memorable in a bad way, but it serves its purpose.
I went there this morning and asked for a cup half decaf and got the following reply:
"We don't carry decaf anymore. Nobody ordered it."
This one sentence is like one of Hemingway's six-word stories. Its depth in what is unsaid tells me way more about engineers/students/professors than I would like to know.

That's great. I guess engineering students wonder what the point of decaf would be.
