when I have Peter Gabriel's name in my head, I can't think of the name of the guy who sang for Genesis. And when that guy's name comes first, I refer to Peter Gabriel as the guy who sang "Sledgehammer".

it's all clear now. Gabriel pre-dated Phil Collins in Genesis.
