what a splendid weekend! when going to visit family, I highly recommend going to the chic new bars that serve crazy tiki drinks (you can't tell, but the volcano is on fire in the picture). lovely.

also, family is good for teaching you such important things as how to play Cornhole*. it's basically a version of horseshoes that is drinking friendly because you aren't throwing 3 pound hunks of steel through the air (instead you throw skull-friendly beanbags filled with corn kernals). a fun game for playing on the sidewalk, you get lots of odd looks from passers-by.
