purple is a fruit

someone brought a package of Grapples into work today, and I was intrigued enough to try one. Looks like an apple, tastes like a sneaker (I mean, a grape).

At first I thought they had bred a type of apple that just happened to taste like a grape--turns out they soak the apples with grape "flavoring." And that's how it tasted, too. Grapple: making wholesome, natural foods creepy since 1984.
