it feels like years since it's been here
the disconcerting thing about traveling west by plane is that you're constantly chasing the sun. it never sets, but sits terminally in a state of early-evening fade. where did saturday night go? for me it never existed. saturday afternoon seamlessly shifted into sunday without even a mention of night. is this what summertime is like in the arctic?
you realize the sun doesn't go down
it's just an illusion
caused by the world spinning 'round.
